I am running multiple virtual machines on my host with a single physical disk. When I run an IO intensive application on the virtual machines simultaneously the throughput obtained is very less. I would like to somehow limit the disk bandwidth for some virtual machines to enable others to get better throughput values.
Is there any provision made in made for limiting disk bandwidth use or setting disk priorities for the processes running on the VMs ?
I found the following while searching http://wiki.qemu.org/Features/DiskIOLimits/Requirements
Has this feature or similar been already implemented in qemu-kvm ??
