KVM - The Linux Kernel-Based Virtual Machine
News, Blogs and Resources on the Linux (KVM) Kernel-Based Virtual Machine

Who’s going to be at the Red Hat Summit next week?

Next week is Red Hat’s annual summit where Red Hat’s fanboys and girls meet to socialize and learn. If you plan on attending this year, there’s a chance that we can meet face to face as I’ll be attending for the first time this year. There are some interesting sessions on virtualization which I plan on attending to see what Red Hat has planned for the future. Even if you can’t make it I’ll post pictures and blog posts on any interesting happenings.

If you do plan on being there feel free to post a comment. See you soon…. Maybe.

I'll be there

I'm definitely interested in KVM, particularly the networking aspects (been following openvswitch for a while - glad to see it's gaining support for KVM).

rhev 2.2 released ! :)

did you see that rhev 2.2 was released ?, at time for redhat summit ! :)

Re: rhev 2.2 released

Are you talking about the beta version released in late March? I haven't seen any announcement on 2.2 since.

i'm talking about the final

Re: I'm talking about the final

alexandre,

Yep. One of the RHEV presenters mentioned it today during one of the sessions that RHEV 2.2 was released today.

^_^ did they have announced

^_^

did they have announced a roadmap for rhel6 / rhev 3 or 2.3 ?

can't wait for vhost-net support and to remove this crappy windows manager ;)

Re: roadmap

Alexandre,

They did in fact talk about roadmaps for kvm and rhel6. The plan for rhev-m is 2.2 -> 2.3 -> 3.0 .  3.0 will allow you to run the client on linux and is currently planned for release next year and the full stack will be open.

vhost-net in 2.3 with rhel6

vhost-net in 2.3 with rhel6 at the end of the year
